A collection of Grade II* listed Georgian buildings are set to be brought to life with a new hotel and residential apartments.
Century Buildings, located on Sand Pits, in the Jewellery Quarter , will be rejuvenated with a 12-bed apartment hotel and 26 flats – 69% one bed and 31% two bed.
A private residential Georgian house, the building transformed in 1820 with a workshop built in its gardens by then owner Henry Adcock, a jeweller and button maker, according to heritage documents .
Century Buildings also includes a former unlisted nightclub, which have both become dilapidated, exacerbated by illegal use, vandalism and theft. A new four storey will be built on the former nightclub site.
The new proposal includes renovation of the remaining buildings and their conversion for residential use facing Summer Hill Road. The renovation of buildings for the aparthotel will face Powell Street.
Renovation and conversion of the listed buildings will be accompanied by the construction of a connected new building for residential use on the neighbouring site.
