There’s a brand new retailer joining the Jewellery Quarter’s ever-growing independent scene. Opening up in Augusta Street, The Pawn Shop by Getemfromkam is a Black owned business which is a product of inner-city Birmingham.
Getemfromkam follows a true rag to riches story; from selling sweets in the school playground, to hustling mobile phones on market stalls, to now selling sneakers, clothes, watches & art.
Born & bred in Birmingham, Kam aims to provide a second life to fashion by selling, buying, and trading used items, contributing to the sustainability within the city.
The Jewellery Quarter has yet to see something as unorthodox as Getemfromkam, bringing top level customer service along with a laid back feel.
Mark from SMP Jewellers, which was established in 1970 comments:
The Pawn Shop by Kam is exactly what the Jewellery Quarter needs – something different for the younger crowd. In the Jewellery Quarter, there is no other shop like his. This is fun, exciting, and innovative!
Kam also brings with him a long list of loyal celebrity clients that include; Aitch, Roman Kemp, Big narstie, Joel Dommet, Mist, Aj tracy, Lil pump & Da baby just to name a few.
TV and Radio Presenter, Roman Kemp talks about his love for Getemfromkam:
When I can’t find something, I know exactly who to go to… whether it’s a present for my girlfriend, or a piece of jewellery I want made, I know Kam is my man!
More than just a store, Getemfromkam is a hub for the creatives of today, showing that anyone can do anything if they put their mind to it.
